Liquor Law and Licensing

At Lane Alton we are dedicated to offering legal services for new and existing liquor permit establishments, breweries and distilleries, before the Ohio Liquor Commission, the Ohio Division of Liquor Control, the Ohio Department of Taxation, and the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau. Business/Corporation Information: prepare and file necessary paperwork with the Secretary of State.

Liquor License Acquisition: file and complete follow-through with the application and associated documentation to bring the liquor license to issuance.

Multiple Locations Transactions: transfer or acquisition of liquor license for multiple locations.

TTB Compliance: file and process applications for Basic Permits, Brewer’s Notices for wineries, distilleries, and breweries, as well as wholesale permits, through to issuance. Provide guidance with label approvals and federal Tied House laws.

Liquor License Violations: representation before the Ohio Liquor Control Commission for cases involving liquor violations and appeals from decisions of the Ohio Division of Liquor Control and any appeals to the Court of Common Pleas, Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.

Smoking Ban Violations: investigation and defense of citations, including representation before hearing officers and appeals before the Franklin County Court of Common Please.
